Awesum Challenge by West Bromwich Building Society
This is a teaching resource aimed at helping pupils excel in money calculations and problem-solving.
It is aimed at pupils at Level 3(c) or above - so would suit KS2 and KS3 students.
Simple questions focusing on money, discounts, multiple purchases, change, are set in a snowboarding environment. After some questions a short snowboarding game maintains interest.
This would keep students busy and entertained. Putting fairly simple calculations in a real-life setting is just what we’re looking for today.
