Multiplication Rainbow

How the publisher describes it:

“This A3 sized rainbow ( 41cm x 21cm) displays all their multiplication tables answers so that one can see the patterns in both directions. Use as a memory aid. Can one child recite the table whilst another child listens and confirms?”

Review by Val Griffiths

In brief:

Easy to use and reasonably priced

“Colourful and attractive to look at and my class immediately wanted one.”

This set includes a large wall rainbow, class size rainbow and individual pupil rainbows. Firstly, they are colourful and attractive to look at and my class immediately wanted one when I put them out in the classroom.

The times table answers are displayed in colour bands, helping support that learning of facts. The wall size display has not been as well used as I thought it might, but the children have enjoyed working with the individual cards and in groups. The learning support assistants have found them handy when working with intervention groups and have made good use of the photocopiable resources that accompany the set.

I am pleased when any resources encourages children to take more time to learn the tables, although I do think that just having the answers on the cards, rather than the questions too, limits their usage although, as they are laminated, they can be written on.

Easy to use and reasonably priced so you can afford to have a whole class set.
