Special Features of the ATM Buy OnLine System
The ATM Buy OnLine system has been purpose designed to meet the particular demands of the busy teacher and school administrator.
Using ATM BuyOnLine should be pretty straightforward. We have designed the system to be robust and easy to use. If however you have any problems or any suggestions for improvement, we do want to hear from you. Please email the Web Editor here.

The Order ID Number
An Order Session is what we call the assembling of your order from start to finish.
In order to keep track of what you order through the process, we give each visitor an Order Session Number. This is done by setting a ‘cookie’ on your computer.
This means that you can start an order on one computer and half way through you can stop and transfer the order to another computer by, for example, sending the Order Session Number to the other computer by email or by cutting and pasting.
So you can collaborate with colleagues on an order, you can move your order from home to work and back to home again. Or you can compile your order then send it to the school administrator for payment.
The only thing you shouldn’t do is work on the same order at the same time as someone else.
Secure and Anonymous Cookies
Our order system gives your order a unique Order Session Number which consists of a long string of numbers and letters. This is stored by your browser on your computer.
Remember, we ask for no personal details, no username and password - nothing that can personally identify you in any way - so the cookie cannot record any personal details. Your personal details are only required right at the end of the order when it is time to pay.
The ‘Cookie’ is stored on your computer and when you connect back to the ATM Buy OnLine site, if the cookie is still there it will tell our system to find the items you have already assembled in your order. It doesn’t know who you are - it only knows that your browser has visited before and had begun an order.
Your computer will automatically delete the cookie after 30 days. Or you can delete it yourself using your ‘Clean Up’ options.
If you are a member of ATM and you are nearly at the point of paying, we ask you to enter your ATM membership number. This is then stored with the ‘cookie’. In theory, therefore, it would be possible to match the order so far with you as an individual. However, it is only one step away from the final paying page where you would be entering your personal details anyway. If you abandoned your order at this late stage of the process, we could if we really wanted to work out who the order was created by even though you didn’t buy it in the end. However, the details are secure and only the Web Editor would realistically have access to this information and the Web editor does not have ready access to the members' database.
Your order details and your credit card details are transmitted in a fully secure method (we use 128 bit encryption)
We don’t ask for usernames and passwords
We dislike systems that demand you sign in before you start using the system.
So, we don’t ask you for any personal or financial details until the very end of the order process. If you decide, at that point, not to proceed with the order we will never know anything about you. All we will know is that ‘someone, somewhere’ compiled an order. If it is not re-activated within 30 days it will be deleted.
We only ask for your details when they are needed
Why should a shopping system demand your details before you have decided what you want?
How many times have you wanted to browse a shopping website but are put off because it demands that you provide details up front? We don’t - we only ask you for personal and financial details when you finally say you want to pay.
You can hop in and out
Because we want you to be free to check out reviews, or go to other websites while you are shopping - maybe to check out information elsewhere, we let you do just that. If, in the middle of assembling an order, you want to whizz off to another site, or somewhere else in the ATM website - you can do just that. The order you have assembled up to that point will be remembered.
You can come back later
The Order Session Number is stored for 30 days. So, within that time you can leave the website and come back another day. If you use the same computer and the same browser, just re-visit the website and your order - but no personal details - will be recalled. If you want to carry on using another computer or the same computer but using a different browser you will need to have stored the Order Session Number by going to the SAVE, MOVE or SEND this order page.
