Privacy Policy
We only ask for your personal information when we need it to provide you with specific services.
ATM eNews
We send an emailed newsletter about once each month to the email addresses given to us when you:
- are a member of ATM, or
- take advantage of free downloads of resources, or
- enter draws featured from time to time, or
- you subscribe to the newsletter specifically.
At any time you can ‘suppress’ your email address by going to this page...
Suppress means we keep a note of your email address as ‘unsubscribed’ so that we know not to let it be re-subscribed at a later date if you were to download or enter a draw, say, another time. This is what all companies do - or should do.
Some email lists of this nature are stored on the internet. Ours are not. They are stored behind our Web Editor’s own firewall which, because it is not permanently connected to the internet, is as hack-proof as one can get.
If you actually want your address removed completely, then email our Web Editor here...
Cookies
In order to:
- safeguard access to some resources on the website such that only personal members can gain access, and
- to keep a note of your order information on the ATM BuyOnLine section of the site
...we need to place a small marker on your computer that will identify the machine and allow our system to recognise your order for thirty days, in case you need to add to it or transfer it to another computer to continue the order.
This marker is called a 'cookie'. It does not know anything about you, it knows nothing about your system, your computer or your shoe size. It is a long string of letters and numbers that is recorded in the cookies file on your machine.
Any Other Personal Information
Any information - address, identifiable information, credit card numbers - anything like that at all - is kept secure and transmitted in a strongly encrypted way. It is as secure as anything can be on the internet.
We do not pass personal details on to third parties unless required to do so by judicial proceedings. The only exception to this is the name, email address and postal address from entrants to free draws where we have made an arrangement with a third party. In this case we always spell out the arrangement on the entry page. It is usually that the third party can use your name, address and email address once and once only to send you a catalogue or promotional material regarding that product. If anyone feels this arrangement has been abused, then please let our Web Editor know as soon as possible. It will be followed up.
Further information...
...can be obtained by emailing our Web Editor.
